The conference will be held at the Choice Clarion Hotel Bryggen at Tromsø downtown. Rooms can be used as double, so that those who arrive with a spouse do not need to care about booking (consult the corresponding organizer about prices for the spouse). Note however that the rooms are booked precisely for the period 17-22 June, 2008, so that your tickets should match the dates. This hotel and some others are already fully booked, so that one should take care with an extension of the trip (again you can consult an organizer).

The standard manner of arriving to Tromsø is by plane.

We advice to plan your trip in time, so that the tickets are available and you can get a reasonable price. Notice that all flights in the route Oslo-Tromsø depart from the Oslo airport Gardermoen (OSL), but some companies arrive to the small Oslo airports Torp/Sandefjord (TRF) and Moss (Rygge). In this case, you can change airports using Torp express bus or Rygge-ekspress. Be sure however to have enough time: the airports are far from each other.

Also when time for plane change is calculated pay attention to the fact that even though Norway is in Schengen area, it is not in EU, so that luggage should be collected and then dropped-in after customs.

In Tromsø you can take a shuttle FlyBus to the center. The bus goes quite regularly and it takes about 10 min until stop (upon request) near the hotel. Another possibility is taxi (e.g. if one arrives late). Remember to keep receipts.
