The scientific program centered around applied and theoretical aspects of time-frequency analysis, and operator related function theory. The aim of the Abel Symposium was to present the current state of the art and to discuss future research directions. The relevant topics include Signal Analysis, Pseudo-differential operators, Spectral Function Theory, Harmonic analysis.

The organizing committee consisted of Yurii Lyubarskii and Kristian Seip (NTNU) The scientific committee had the following members: Karlheinz Groechenig (University of Viena), Michael T. Lacey (Georgia Institute of Technology), Joaquim Ortega-Cerdà (University of Barcelona), Mikhail Sodin (Tel-Aviv University).
